About The Position

In the 401(k) industry, consultants and Vanguard often share clients who are seeking to maximize the value of this employee benefit. Help us tell the Vanguard story to this consultant audience and bring to life how we can help both consultants and our mutual clients succeed. This senior marketing writer focuses on positioning, messaging, and marketing materials designed for executing B2B brand initiatives and improving consultant audience engagement. What does “client focus” mean to consultants? You have ideas on that, and you'll work with marketing strategists and senior leaders to help expand our partnerships with consultants. You'll apply Vanguard's brand strategy to the B2B consultant and plan sponsor audiences in advertising and marketing. Writers in the Workplace Solutions Marketing Department help show how and why Vanguard is different from other 401(k) providers. We're looking for a creative writer who's comfortable managing complexity and ambiguity and can bring a strategic focus to the content and marketing tactics needed to build awareness and consideration. Our senior marketing writers may spend the bulk of their time writing content but add crucial value in helping their project partners focus beyond the immediate needs of each campaign, event, or deliverable. They possess consummate writing skills and translate even the most difficult financial and investing concepts into communications that resonate with our audiences. You'll work on a wide variety of marketing projects, including: Scripts and speeches for Vanguard senior leaders participating in virtual and in-person events. Storyboards and scripts for videos and demos that deliver engaging experiences. Webpages that serve as hubs to drive engagement with clients and prospects. Narratives for core slide decks and pitch books that support products and services, including target-date funds, active fixed income funds, and advice services. Internal positioning on a variety of topics that can serve as the basis for the creation of external marketing materials. Digital advertising campaigns over a variety of channels that spur readers to interact with other content on our website. Client-focused newsletters and digital journeys to support demand generation or account-based marketing efforts. Commentaries and blog posts from Vanguard experts, including senior leaders as well as those with deep knowledge about our investment products and services. Brochures and other promotional materials that deliver information clients can put into action.
