They also host an annual Dodgeball for Charity event. Q2 is seeking a Marketing Operations Technologist to help shape the future of their marketing technology ecosystem. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for a builder, systems thinker, and technical strategist who can translate lifecycle vision into scalable system, intelligent automation, and measurable business outcomes. The role involves modernizing how marketing systems connect, how lifecycle decisions are automated, and how data, workflows, and AI come together to create better experiences and better performance. In this role, you will own and evolve the core lifecycle technology stack across Marketo, Salesforce, LeanData, 6sense, and the broader web and data ecosystem that supports lifecycle intelligence. You will design the systems, workflows, and governance that power lifecycle progression, lead and account routing, database quality, and AI-enabled automation. You will also help guide how Marketing Operations expands toward a more connected Revenue Operations model over time, partnering closely with Sales, Analytics, and Corporate IT teams to build scalable solutions that work across the business. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on expertise in marketing systems with strong business judgment, cross-functional influence, and a passion for improving how teams work through technology, smarter automation, and governed use of AI. This role is well suited for someone energized by complexity, excited by emerging technology, and motivated to turn ambitious ideas into durable operating reality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Marketing or related field
  • 8+ years of experience with B2B marketing
  • Excellent technical skills, creativity, analytical abilities and strong communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of marketing principles, strategies and theories
  • Experience managing marketing automation platforms managing functions including supporting forms and landing pages, creating nurturing streams, progressive profiling and lead scoring
  • Experience using Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Salesforce (specifically lead routing rules and processes)
  • Must be an energetic self-starter who works well independently and, in a team setting
  • Fluent written and oral communication in English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient, effective and scalable business solutions to the marketing and sales teams.
  • Be fully engaged with the design, implementation, execution, measurement and refinement of core marketing technologies including compliance, content management, publishing, web analytics, marketing automation and CRM solutions.
  • Collaborate with fellow marketers, sales professionals, business analysts and marketing leaders to translate business strategy into marketing execution, as well as promote technical capabilities into business benefits.
  • Act as a “player-coach” within the marketing technology team including “super user” access to our technology stack.
  • Work in close partnership with our analyst to align on tracking implementation & schema used for reporting & visualizations.
  • Provide systems and processes that enable organizational learning and insights for improved customer intelligence and messaging.
  • Act as marketing liaison to IT and provide support for the marketing technology stack.
  • Ensure accurate data is securely & effectively collected, managed, and shared across systems within marketing and sales teams.
  • Ensure all security, availability, confidentiality, privacy policies and internal controls are adhered to for compliance.
  • Help educate and evangelize capabilities and best practices to the broader team.
  • Gather and refine requirements based on technical needs for marketing software purchases and partnerships.
