At Shriners Children's St. Louis, we have a team of physicians and specialists who are highly trained and experienced in pediatric orthopedics. This team is equipped to treat children with a variety of different orthopedic conditions ranging from mild to complex. Other specialties you will find at our facility include limb lengthening and reconstruction, spine care, muscular and neuromuscular care, orthotics and prosthetics and plastic surgery. Shriners Children's St. Louis has an opportunity for a full-time Senior Medical Technologist. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting the Clinical Laboratory Manager with daily activities, providing technical leadership for clinical staff, supporting diagnostic activities, and ensuring patient satisfaction, quality care and regulatory/accreditation standards are achieved.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Medical Technology, CLS or Science required
- 5 years Clinical Laboratory required
- 2 years Management/Supervisory required
- MLT (ASCP), CLS or Equivalent certification required
- Med. Tech license in state of practice required
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Clinical Laboratory Manager with daily activities
- Providing technical leadership for clinical staff
- Supporting diagnostic activities
- Ensuring patient satisfaction, quality care and regulatory/accreditation standards are achieved
- Leads the way for the clinical lab team
