Job Details Summary: The Senior Marketing Specialist will act as the marketing support for Community Retail and Long-Term Care with a focus on Community Pharmacy Services. Through the ownership, activation, and management of marketing initiatives, this person will be responsible for developing marketing plans and supporting initiatives for Community Pharmacy Services program and offerings. This role requires an individual who is comfortable with both planning and hands-on implementation, with a balance of day-to-day execution, management, and optimization of channels and campaigns. This position will work under the direction of a senior marketing leader and will need to collaborate with a cross-functional marketing team to ideate, strategize, and plan omni-channel campaigns in support of strategic business goals and objectives related to the programs of Community Pharmacy Services, buying groups and sales. This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining content that drives awareness including collateral, newsletters, customer testimonials, digital messaging and more.

Requirements

  • Requires broad training in fields such as marketing, business administration, communications, sales, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Normally requires a minimum of four (4) years directly related and progressively responsible experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Experience developing marketing/communications plans
  • Experience providing guidance/direction to others on the team and other partners
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience with social media tools
  • CRM experience such as salesforce.com preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute on marketing plans to support Marketing objectives and Community Pharmacy Services initiatives
  • Partner with the campaign manager to determine how to leverage, apply, and optimize an omni-channel marketing approach to drive toward specific business outcomes
  • Understand the specific enterprise marketing goals and collaborate with other cross-functional marketing teams to develop messaging and content and support related goals (leads, impressions, changes in perception, etc.) to support the various Community Pharmacy Services programs, buying groups and sales
  • Work with various marketing teams to coordinate the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns, helping to achieve awareness, engagement, and adoption
  • Collaborate with digital marketing team to update and maintain websites, ensuring messaging, content, and branding alignment with the marketing strategy and SEO best practices
  • Manage customer channels to elevate brand recognition, showcase thought leadership, increase retention, and drive customer engagement
  • Leverage data and analytics to measure campaign results, assess against goals/KPIs, and adjust to drive maximum awareness and performance
  • Monitor and remain up to date on developments and changes that impact independent pharmacies and the industry as a whole
  • Support the planning and execution of ThoughtSpot, Cencora’s largest customer tradeshow
