About The Position

Legrand is seeking a strategic, goal-oriented Senior Marketing Communications Manager to lead and execute marketing programs aligned with the division’s strategic goals and objectives. This remote position is open to candidates across the U.S., with a preference for those located in the Eastern or Central time zones. In this role, you will develop and implement initiatives targeting specific audiences and personas to drive sales growth and elevate brand awareness. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners supporting the commercial business of the Electrical Wiring Systems division. Our ideal candidate has demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing campaigns while managing both day-to-day activities and longer-term objectives. They take initiative, effectively prioritize deadlines, and independently lead their work. This position reports to the Commercial Director of Marketing Communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
  • 8-10 years in marketing communications.
  • Prior experience managing direct reports is required.
  • Proven strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to effectively interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborative mindset with proven experience to work effectively in a team-based environment and demonstrate leadership when needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality work and meeting deadlines.
  • Applies a diplomatic approach to communication, balancing multiple perspectives to drive alignment and results.
  • Experience with budget planning, tracking, management and reporting.
  • Demonstrated initiative in leading projects and identifying areas of opportunity.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation skills.
  • Experience managing creative agencies (advertising and public relations).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital content strategies and website development, experience with digital advertising
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools.
  • Candidates should be comfortable with regular travel, typically around once per month.

  • Business unit experience in a matrix organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Director of Commercial Marketing Communications to develop the strategy and marketing campaigns for prioritized initiatives and focus areas of the business strategies targeting electrical contractors, facility managers, specifiers, and electrical distributors.
  • Drive and oversee brand awareness, product launch readiness, and demand-generation initiatives across the full customer journey. Ensure the development of high-impact sales tools, assets, events, and content that reflect a commitment to an exceptional customer experience.
  • Provide leadership across cross-functional teams, guiding marketing team members, product managers, content specialists, graphic designers, and agency partners. Lead and influence cross-functional teams with strong communication and project leadership. Although this position does not initially include direct reports, candidates must bring prior team-management.
  • Plan, manage, and optimize the marketing communications budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources across campaigns, vendors, and content development, etc.
  • Own and manage the approval workflow for all marketing communications activities, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders and timely delivery.
  • Establish, track, and report on performance metrics for marketing programs; analyze results and recommend strategic optimizations to meet business goals.
  • Reporting out to business leaders, building content and presenting virtually and in person on a regular basis.
  • Lead digital initiatives in collaboration with corporate digital marketing team, including email automation campaigns, CSAT and website improvements, and SEO optimization. Partner closely with web development resources to build and integrate digital tools that elevate the Legrand.us online experience.
  • Contribute to the development of written and creative content. Collaborate closely with the Content Lead to ensure all materials align with Legrand brand standards.
  • Perform other related duties as needed to support the broader marketing communications strategy.
  • Ability to support regular overnight travel multiple times a year for key meetings or events.
