Job Summary BASIC FUNCTION: This position will manage projects on behalf of Creative Services, Brand and Marketing Communications. It is responsible for providing production and project management oversight, coordinating with multiple departments, collaborating with internal clients, and tracking the production of print and digital communications to meet the needs of various audiences. This position will also assist in the launch of any new market areas with project management and traffic support and will provide training for processes and systems used to review, manage, and store deliverables. It will report status regularly and escalate issues as required. Proficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook, SharePoint, and Word, as well as functional knowledge of Teams required. Creative Operations background and experience with Wrike, FileMaker Pro, WorkFront Proof or Ziflow a plus. NOTE: this role is located in CHICAGO IL and is hybrid/flex, requiring in-office visibility three days per week. Relocation will not be extended; sponsorship is not available either now or in the future.

Requirements

  • Degree in Journalism or Communications OR 6 direct years in communications, project management, or traffic/creative producer experience including digital and/or print project management in place of degree.
  • Healthcare industry experience is strongly desired.
  • 6+ years project management or traffic experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and short timelines.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with shifting deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to interact with clients with confidence.
  • Adept and comfortable at influencing the decision-making process.
  • Organizational, project management and consulting skills.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive, confidential information.

  • Provide project oversight for the creation of marketing materials

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, review and produce audience specific marketing/sales product literature, newsletters, and other communications used in selling and retaining accounts and educating our members and potential members.
  • Research, write, edit and assist in coordinating the production and publication of materials in print and/or electronic formats.
  • Work with Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and Product and Market Research to create and develop promotional plans for new introductions, change in ancillary benefits administrators; e.g. vision vendor.
  • Work with department manager on special projects that might cut across product lines.
  • Assist Marketing and Sales staff to determine the most effective ways to convey the key benefits/features of our products to producers, clients, prospective clients, employees or members. Evaluate end result and is responsible for recommending any changes.
  • Participate in budget planning and analysis. Review invoices and enter key information in database to track expenses per product line, communication medium, etc.
  • Chair and/or serve on various communications committees and producer, employer and/or member newsletter committees.
  • Work with Product Management and Legal to ensure collateral materials comply with federal and state legislation, BCBSA brand regulations, and minimize exposure to litigation.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Medical Directors, Product Management, Marketing and Sales, E-Solutions, Product and Market Research, ITG, Graphics, and other professional and management staff to produce communications.
  • Work with external consultants/vendors, including benefit program management (pharmacy benefits administrator), communications/marketing agencies, translators, photographers, fulfillment houses, and designers to develop content for newsletters and literature and manage the review, production, distribution, and budgetary processes.
  • Keep track of usage and inventory for all literature within his/her purview.
  • Arrange for documents to be posted to the Intranet and for translations of materials to other languages
