About The Position

#TeamAAM is searching for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position will be based out of our Ridgway location in Ridgway, PA. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will serve as the subject matter expert in Powdered Metal Machining. You will provide direction and engineering support for production, testing, and maintenance of a manufacturing operation, provide engineering support to shop floor, and test manufactured products to maintain quality. You will also participate in refinement of engineering systems and processes, resolve complex technical issues on the assembly line and in the manufacturing process. This person will also lead technical design, development, and process equipment testing for assigned products, assist in the preparation of proposals on products for customers, and provide continuous improvement to manufacturing process and product designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • 5+ years of Machining experience
  • Strong understanding of powdered metal process
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience (high volume automotive experience desired).

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing equipment purchase proposals by studying manufacturing plans and commitments; evaluating manufacturing processes and requirements.
  • Recommend new manufacturing equipment by identifying vendors and operating equipment, including control devices; evaluating equipment capabilities and service history; evaluating vendor service and support.
  • Complete equipment cost projections by analyzing investment, return, and savings.
  • Monitor equipment installations by advising crews.
  • Meet production requirements by designing equipment modifications.
  • Prepare equipment operators by conducting training; providing reference and support resources.
  • Maintain process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
  • Maintain equipment records by filing documents; updating equipment database.
  • Protect organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
  • Contribute to engineering and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
  • All other duties as assigned.
