PacSci EMC, an operating company of Ralliant, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support the continued growth of manufacturing operations in Chandler, AZ. This role is a senior individual contributor responsible for process development, metrology, manufacturability, and automation in support of energetic aerospace and defense products. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer partners with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, Operations, and Program Management to drive measurable improvements in quality, cost, and manufacturing efficiency. This role supports new manufacturing buildings, addresses high-impact operational challenges, and contributes to a multi-year automation roadmap.

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes, metrology systems, and manufacturability assessments using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Identify and automate manual processes through the development of tools, fixtures, equipment, and integrated software/hardware solutions.
  • Support execution of a site-level automation roadmap, enabling year-over-year manufacturing improvements.
  • Lead and support Standard Work Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and update standard work documentation as processes evolve.
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce variation.
  • Mentor and coach Manufacturing Engineers and cross-functional partners, supporting a developing, high-performing team.
  • Serve as a key technical resource for manufacturing problem-solving, risk assessment, and decision-making.
  • Collaborate across functions to address high-impact manufacturing issues tied to revenue growth and capacity expansion.
  • Lead or participate in Process FMEAs (PFMEA) and other risk mitigation activities.
  • Support compliance with ISO, AS9100, and internal quality systems.
  • 7–10 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment; aerospace and/or defense experience preferred.
  • Educational background in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with process improvement, automation, tooling, and equipment development.
  • Data-driven, process-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • B.S. degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Due to contractual and regulatory requirements, only U.S. persons may be eligible.
  • PacSci EMC is a U.S. Department of State ITAR-regulated employer and complies with all applicable export control laws.
  • aerospace and/or defense experience preferred.
  • This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
