About The Position

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you'll monitor and maintain the technical aspects of the fabrication process, tracking key production metrics and analyzing efficiency data. You'll partner with the manufacturing manager to uphold standards, introduce new methods, and integrate processes for new products. In this role, you'll ensure Allison's manufacturing operations remain safe, efficient, and continuously improving. You're a collaborative and detail-oriented engineer with a strong command of manufacturing systems, tooling, and lean practices. You translate complex technical challenges into actionable solutions, communicate effectively across teams, and balance hands-on problem solving with strategic improvements. You take pride in mentoring others and advancing Allison's manufacturing capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role
  • Experience with statistical qualification of machinery, equipment, and gages, and the ability to improve and document our methods for completing these tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years' experience
  • Experience in working effectively with hourly employees in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Direct continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects to increase throughput and reduce waste.
  • Design and integrate tooling, machining, and automated solutions utilizing CAD platforms such as NX, SolidWorks, or PTC Creo.
  • Conduct comprehensive process analyses to identify opportunities for workflow optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff while partnering with operations, quality, and product design teams to support new product introductions and improvements to existing lines.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safety, sustainability, and regulatory compliance across all manufacturing operations.
