Learn more at www.bkv.com Job Summary The Senior Manager Trading is a key commercial leader responsible for executing and optimizing physical natural gas trading strategies with a primary focus on the Barnett and Marcellus basis markets. This role leverages deep market fundamentals, financial and basis trading expertise, and risk management discipline to drive portfolio performance and maximize value. This role is recognized as a key leader and subject matter expert in the area of production engineering, in particular. The leadership component of the job entails multiple production engineer, facility engineer and engineering analyst direct reports, including coaching, directing and conducting performance reviews for each report. This position must demonstrate integrity, accountability and transparency as well as uphold BKV standards, values and culture. Manages a team of supervisors and/or experienced professionals who work with a high degree of independence. Implements strategies, policies and procedures for short-term results. Influences others outside the work area. Problems faced may be difficult to moderately complex. Demonstrates integrity, accountability and transparency; upholds BKV standards, values and culture.

Requirements

  • Understanding of natural gas industry standards, market trends, emerging issues and regulatory requirements.
  • Tech-savvy with advanced analytical tools and market data platforms
  • Strong market fundamentals knowledge and analytical skills
  • Strong project management capabilities; able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering tools.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams, including performance management and development
  • Leadership and management skills including achieving results through influence, guiding performance and development, and fostering a motivating and inclusive workplace.
  • Uses insights from digital tools and data analytics to improve performance; has a bias for AI and machine learning applications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 6-10 years total trading experience with 2-4 years in natural gas trading.
  • Barnett and Marcellus Shale basis trading experience required.
  • Credit and financial risk management experience.

  • Financial and basis trading background preferred.
  • Allegro ETRM system experience preferred.
