Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and Reporting
About The Position
Senior Manager, Technical Accounting & Reporting: Manage and analyze Net Working Capital for Asian subsidiaries (China, Japan, Malaysia) to identify issues and support improvement initiatives; monitor cash flow and review available funding capacity, including loan availability, for Asian subsidiaries; coordinate the preparation of financial statements and related documentation to support the company’s IPO process, ensuring alignment across teams in IFRS and GAAP; analyze and report accounting adjustments for IPO readiness, including differences in inventory valuation methods under K-IFRS and other applicable standards; coordinate and respond to data requests from financial institutions, including Korean banks, related to corporate borrowings; coordinate and prepare consolidated financial statements and footnotes in accordance with IFRS quarterly & US GAAP yearly including flux analysis; assist with preparation of the holding company’s consolidated financial statements and footnotes; coordinate and assist with the annual impairment testing on goodwill and indefinite useful life intangibles and the annual valuation for a put option liability on minority interest; stay up to date with current accounting standards, interpret, and implement newly issued accounting standards. Assist with understanding impact of adoption of new IFRS and GAAP accounting standards on financial statements and coordinate implementation with accounting people in global business units; assist with accounting research, provide recommendations on the application of accounting standards and document the company’s position with respect to accounting matters; assist with the documentation and maintenance of accounting policies; update and maintain internal control procedures and provide supporting documentation to internal and external auditors regarding completion of control procedures; assist with the annual valuation, financial statement preparation and audit for the post-retirement employee benefit plans; support OneStream Consolidation and FP&A system implementation and any ad hoc projects; coordinate external audit on consolidated financial statements and work with external auditors and subject matter experts on the timely resolution of technical accounting matters; and other duties as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor or foreign equivalent degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field and 5 years of experience in managing full-cycle accounting and closings, coordinating external audits, conducting technical accounting research, and overseeing financial planning, risk management, and intercompany transactions for global manufacturing companies.
- Must have knowledge of GAAP/IFRS accounting system.
