The Sr. Manager, Supply Chain is responsible for leading supplier and client relationship management across assigned categories to deliver financial, operational, and strategic value. This hybrid role bridges supply chain strategy, procurement execution, and account management in alignment with Foodbuy, LLC, ensuring optimal performance of supplier programs, client satisfaction, and compliance to company purchasing standards while delivering against financials targets. The position combines strategic sourcing, supply chain optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to drive business growth and deliver operational excellence in a contracted foodservice environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, or category management.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills at all organizational levels, including C-suite.
  • Excellent analytical and project management abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Skilled communicator and presenter with demonstrated ability to influence decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); experience with Compass Group OMS systems (MyResults, MyOrders) preferred.
  • Knowledge of e-procurement or supply chain data systems (e.g., iTrade Network, Coupa, Ariba, DSSI) a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in contracted foodservice or hospitality supply chain preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); experience with Compass Group OMS systems (MyResults, MyOrders) preferred.
  • Knowledge of e-procurement or supply chain data systems (e.g., iTrade Network, Coupa, Ariba, DSSI) a plus.
  • MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing and negotiation activities across assigned categories to meet organizational objectives for cost, quality, and service.
  • Manage manufacturer, distributor, and supplier relationships to drive performance improvements and achieve financial goals.
  • Develop and administer supplier evaluation and development plans, including scorecards and performance reviews.
  • Monitor commodity and ingredient markets, ensuring price competitiveness and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify shared value initiatives and innovation opportunities.
  • Oversee program implementation and adoption for new products, suppliers, and categories.
  • Coordinate supplier onboarding, price file accuracy, and master data management with internal analytics and finance teams.
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy and available of managed order guides through the DSSI platform.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned client, ensuring alignment between supply chain programs and operational needs.
  • Partner with Operations, Culinary and Finance teams to support client program rollouts, menu innovation, and purchasing optimization.
  • Lead business reviews and communicate program changes, performance results, and improvement initiatives.
  • Manage purchasing KPIs and compliance metrics at the unit and regional level; identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide reporting, insights, and training to client and sector stakeholders to drive purchasing compliance and adoption.
  • Escalate and resolve supplier or client issues related to product availability, pricing, or service disruptions.
  • Support long-term category strategies that optimize total cost of ownership while maintaining supplier diversity and sustainability goals.
  • Develop communication plans and dashboards for category performance and compliance tracking.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to design and execute initiatives in support of profitability, supply assurance, and innovation.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities within procurement and account management processes.
