Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Raytheon is seeking a Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management position to be located onsite in Tucson, Arizona. This role focuses on managing the procurement execution and purchase order lifecycle for new contracts, ensuring alignment with program requirements and objectives. The position will serve as a critical link between program teams and the production execution team, facilitating a seamless transition once contracts move into the production phase. The role will include management of a small team of 1-3 MPM’s. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in supply chain processes, material requirements planning (MRP), procurement, and supplier management to drive the successful execution of new program startup activities. You will also contribute to the development of material strategies, supplier engagement, and program support during the early phases of new contract execution. The successful candidate will also possess strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective coordination across cross-functional teams and external suppliers while maintaining a focus on cost, quality, and schedule objectives.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant supply chain experience or an advanced degree and 8 years of prior relevant supply chain experience
  • Experience with Supply Chain, Production Control, and/or Procurement processes and requirements.
  • Experience managing program cost and schedule
  • Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and Statements of Work (SSOWs).
  • Experience using supply chain planning tools (i.e. SAP, Kinaxis, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skillset
  • Advanced Supply Chain Planning tool experience (i.e. SAP/PRISM, Kinaxis, MFT, ROMS, etc.)
  • Experience with proposals or material estimating
  • MPM Level 4 (or higher) Certification
  • EVMS Certification, experience with Earned Value Management and/or Financial forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, and Procurement to develop and execute Material Strategies that align with program requirements.
  • Coordinate and oversee the procurement execution and management of purchase orders for new contracts, ensuring supplier alignment with program schedules and cost objectives.
  • Support supplier negotiations and ensure all procurement activities are executed accurately and on time to meet program milestones.
  • Facilitate the transition of supply chain responsibilities from the new contract team to the production execution team.
  • Provide program support, including material requirements planning (MRP) and master data management, ensuring timely and accurate inputs into the supply chain process.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including risk mitigation, performance tracking, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and other regulations.
  • Brief program leadership on supply chain status, material constraints, and risk mitigation plans during program startup.
  • Support proposal efforts for new contracts by assisting with supplier strategies, estimates, and task descriptions.
  • Drive timely and accurate financial management activities, including EACs and material sales forecasts.
  • Provide issue resolution and communication across internal teams and external suppliers to ensure program success.
  • Travel domestically or internationally as needed (up to 30%).
