Position Summary: We have an immediate opening for a full-time Manager, Strategic Sourcing – Facilities to support our retail client based in Chesapeake, VA. As a key member of our Center of Excellence (COE) team, you will serve as a conduit to the Client Services team, supporting initiatives dedicated to our customers. You will be responsible for managing varying engagements across the Facilities categories (including Facility Maintenance, Janitorial, HVAC, Waste Management, Landscaping, Fire & Security Services, MRO/Office Supplies, etc.). Core responsibilities include partnering with Client business stakeholders to execute sourcing events, leading category reporting (spend, savings, lead times, supplier performance), and collaborating closely with the Client Services team on Facilities-related strategies. This role will report to the Director, Strategic Sourcing, Facilities, and D&C.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience required
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing & procurement of Facilities related goods and services. Experience in Retail is a plus
  • Ability to operate independently as well as interact with vendors, and internal or client stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Keen ability to deliver on client expectations, influencing others or escalating as needed to do so.
  • Ability to understand and manage complicated operational detail and communicate this clearly based on audience (client and/or internal partners)
  • Analytically adept with the ability to interpret complex data for informed decision-making and to assess results
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including PowerPoint and Excel/financial analysis and planning.
  • Exposure to demand planning / forecasting
  • Proven ability to build relationships, work well with people in a constantly changing environment, and gain credibility in areas beyond defined scope of work
  • Customer-focused attitude with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels; Excellent client interfacing skills
  • Demonstrated success in managing vendors, negotiating and managing high-value contracts
  • Previous experience in a services industry (e.g. professional consulting, BPO, outsourcing) is helpful
  • Exposure to or experience working with corporate teams at all levels, up to the C-Suite
  • Experience with e-sourcing software (Oracle, SAP Ariba, or other cloud-based systems) is a plus
  • This position may require occasional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of RFPs and other sourcing events. For large sourcing events, you will be able to leverage off-site subject matter experts in LogicSource shared services centers
  • Act as a subject matter expert in your categories of responsibility, including sourcing and qualifications of new suppliers.
  • Review of budgets and regular meetings with stakeholders to develop a sourcing calendar
  • Facilitate and lead efforts to move category spend and project activity into LogicSource’s OneMarket Portfolio project management tool.
  • Drive project execution through OneMarket Sourcing eSourcing platform
  • Work with suppliers to maintain up-to-date catalog selection and pricing
  • Participate in value engineering projects to drive technical improvements within your categories
  • Supplier performance monitoring and development
  • Preparation of savings tracking and reporting for client leadership and stakeholder business units
  • Tracking and presentation of project statuses
  • Identify and problem-solve project risks/issues, escalating when necessary to resolve issues affecting our ability to deliver on client expectations
  • Develop internal client relationships; facilitate communication between client business units, internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Provide first-rate customer service to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Learn client's culture and adapt to it while maintaining cultural standards of LogicSource
