For more information, please visit www.genedx.com . Summary GeneDx is hiring a Senior Manager, Strategic Finance to accelerate the achievement of our highest priority business and financial outcomes. You have experience tackling ambiguous, unstructured problems - such as defining growth strategy for new verticals, new product launches and expansion opportunities. You will bring structured, "first principles" thinking to sizing markets, developing strategic plans, and building business cases that drive our financial performance (growth, profitability) on near- and long-term timescales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 4-7 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking or strategic finance roles
  • Structured thinker: You excel at breaking down nebulous problems into logical, solvable components and identifying the drivers of long-term financial value
  • Business acumen: You understand product-market fit, competitive dynamics, and go-to-market strategy as well as you understand a P&L.
  • High agency: You are comfortable working with ambiguity and can drive a strategic project from idea to recommendation with minimal oversight.
  • Financial modeling: Experience developing financial business cases, including setting and measuring return targets, to enable prioritization of opportunities within a standardized investment framework

Responsibilities

  • Support strategic planning: Partner with leaders across the company to develop and execute business plans.
  • Build financial models to evaluate new initiatives and assess their impact.
  • Market sizing & landscape analysis: Conduct rigorous research and analysis to size new markets, map competitive economics, and identify headwinds/tailwinds.
  • Strengthen our understanding of new and existing markets (i.e., size, competitor economics, product fit, etc.), collaborating with Commercial, Product and Market Intelligence functions
  • Commercial strategy & unit economics: Define pricing, go-to-market models, and unit economics in new business areas. You will ensure our growth initiatives are structured for long-term profitability.
  • Corporate development / M&A: Support M&A activity, developing screening theses, running diligence on prospective targets, and building acquisition business cases.
