About The Position

We are seeking a highly qualified and strategic Senior Manager, SSD Product Validation Engineering to lead validation efforts across multiple SSD programs. This role involves defining and implementing validation strategies, managing multi-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with product and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in SSD architecture and validation, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for quality and innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 8 - 10+ years of experience in SSD validation or test development.
• Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams and multi-functional collaboration.
• Deep understanding of SSD architecture, NVMe/PCIe protocols, and validation frameworks (e.g., PVE, FTE, CVE).
• Experience with automation tools, JIRA, Confluence, and lab infrastructure.
• Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and partnership skills
• Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing environment with shifting demands
• Experience with Agile product development processes and project management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with enterprise SSD programs and customer-facing validation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Validation Strategy & Execution
• Define and drive comprehensive validation strategies across SSD programs.
• Recommend new validation approaches that drive better coverage, more accurate testing, and expanded testing services
• Identify and drive resolution on all test gaps identified in development and customer qualification
• Ensure alignment with OEM system requirements, customer use cases, and internal quality metrics.
• Foster continuous improvement in test methodologies, automation frameworks, and lab infrastructure.
• Team Leadership
• Lead and mentor a team of validation engineers and managers.
• Set strategic direction, establish goals, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Support career development through coaching, training, and succession planning.
• Multi-Functional Collaboration
• Communicate with TPMs, Firmware, Hardware, and Business Unit stakeholders.
• Coordinate validation deliverables to meet program milestones.
• Provide real-time updates on validation progress, defect status, and risk mitigation.
• Defect & Risk Management
• Monitor defect activity and ensure timely triage and resolution.
• Conduct periodic reviews of validation KPIs and risk indicators.
