About The Position
Jabil Design Services is seeking a Validation Engineer Intern to assist with the setup and screening of customer server configurations. The intern will gain a real-world understanding of industry use cases, while helping to drive efficiency and effectiveness into the JDS validation process. By the end of internship, he or she will gain hands-on experience with server hardware, firmware and operating systems, as well as infrastructure (switch/storage) management.
Requirements
- Major(s): IT, Computer Engineering / CET, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
- Class Year(s): Rising Sophomore, Rising Junior, Rising Senior
- GPA: Min 3.0
- Knowledge of hardware components
- Familiarity with UEFI and BMC
- Linux and Windows familiarity
- Basic networking skills
- Scripting – Python, Bash, etc.
- Effective Communication
- Self-starter – Ability to drive work
- Leadership Skills: Agility, Building Trusting Relationships, Decision Making Skills, & Resilience
- Availability: Must be available to work in Austin, Texas from May 18, 2026– Aug 7, 2026.
