About The Position

Healthcare is complicated, but it doesn’t have to be. 500+ employees, 10 countries, and 1 mission - to amplify the voice of physicians and improve global healthcare. This is where you come in. Helping unite physicians across the world to improve patient outcomes—and even save lives— is an incredible feeling. Join us! What we’re about: Community: we didn’t get 1.3M medical professionals to join Sermo overnight! Each day we work towards a shared goal – to build the world’s largest online community of medical professionals and industry partners by being the best partner possible. Innovation: our tech-first approach to the conventional worlds of physician engagement and healthcare insights powers our ability to make a positive impact in new and unique ways. Passion: whether a technologist, content buff, savvy marketer, biz dev guru or quant geek, we are all motivated by our passion to improve global healthcare each and every day. What we’re looking for: The Growth Marketing team at Sermo is looking for a highly strategic Senior Manager, SEO & Content Strategy to help scale our organic acquisition engine and strengthen Sermo’s authority among physicians and other HCPs. You combine deep SEO and content strategy expertise with strong business judgment. You know how to translate company priorities into smart organic growth plans that drive meaningful outcomes — not just traffic, but verified physician registrations, stronger conversion performance, greater search visibility, and increased commercial demand. You are equally comfortable shaping high-level strategy and guiding execution. You can identify where Sermo has the greatest opportunity to win in search, develop content and authority-building roadmaps, improve on-page conversion paths, and partner cross-functionally to bring initiatives to life. You know how to work effectively with contractors, agencies, and internal stakeholders, and you can connect SEO and content decisions back to acquisition performance, audience intent, and long-term business value. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys owning strategy, setting direction, and building an organic growth engine that compounds over time.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in SEO, organic growth, content strategy, or related growth marketing roles, with a strong track record of driving measurable business impact.
  • Demonstrated strength in SEO and content strategy, including intent-driven keyword planning, editorial roadmap development, competitive analysis, and organic growth prioritization.
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO principles, including site structure, internal linking, schema, crawling, indexing, and search performance fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to use data to identify opportunities, solve problems, and make clear recommendations.
  • Experience improving on-page conversion performance and aligning SEO efforts with broader CRO and acquisition goals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, analytics, and marketing teams to move initiatives forward effectively.
  • Experience guiding contractors, contributors, or external partners to deliver high-quality work against a clear strategic direction.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-growth environment with a high degree of ownership, initiative, and accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate SEO and content insights into clear business implications and next steps.
