About The Team As part of the Global Merchant & Network Services group (GMNS), the GMNS Product team is at the core of American Express, uniquely positioned to support every business unit and customer across the Enterprise. The American Express Network enables over $1.6 trillion in annual spend, serving our Issuers and Acquirers in more than 170 markets worldwide. We are driving a strategic, multi-year Enterprise Payments program to bring all payments together into a center of excellence to drive operational excellence for payment execution, enable innovative payment products, services, and capabilities to be built effectively and efficiently, support our BU strategies more closely, and deliver on our customers’ evolving payment needs. About the Role The GMNS Product organization has been building a program to drive more efficiency and productivity to how we develop, deliver and deploy products and capabilities. This newly created role of Sr. Manager, Product & Business Operations is an exciting opportunity to lead and contribute to creating quality & control processes across GMNS Product to drive better risk management strategies. These processes will bring best practices and connect the dots across the organization with an aim of ensuring we “Do It the Right Way” through risk control that is integrated in our product development and management strategies and day-to-day work. The incumbent will be an integral contributor to design and implement processes for stronger risk management across key activities and programs across GMNS Product, in conjunction with Control Management & GMNS stakeholders. The successful candidate will lead and drive outcomes for improving product risk management across GMNS Product. This role is ideal for someone with a consultative & problem-solving mindset - one who can manage projects simultaneously, establish collaborative partnerships, drive consistency, analysis, report trends, understand and implement processes whilst immersing themselves in the complexity of the business and its varied interactions with the wider Blue Box.
