Senior Manager, Risk Management (Change Governance) As a Senior Risk Manager in Capital One’s Network Risk organization, you will be on the forefront of ensuring that our business partners are delivering initiatives in a well managed and responsible manner. In your role, you will be responsible for governance and oversight of the Global Payment Network’s Enterprise Wide Initiative / Division Level Initiatives Change Governance program and Network Risk’s change management reporting and presentations. Within this role, you will be tasked with core responsibilities, noted below. The goal of these responsibilities is ensuring that the program is an efficient, reputable, and value adding risk program that continues to evolve in a way that meets the needs of our business. Management of the end-to-end Change Governance program, including supporting and guiding a team responsible for governing and reporting on the Network Risk change management programs. Focus on governance and reporting, ensuring that the overall process is conducted in a manner that aligns with ERM’s Change Governance Standard while also ensuring that reporting is accurate, timely and produces value adding information to relevant stakeholders. Partner with the business and leadership on both the definition and implementation of the Network EWI/DLI program, including education campaigns, process improvements, and the successful implementation of the governance program. Identify ways to align the program to the Network business model including enhancements and improvements aligning with best risk practices to support successful business outcomes. Network Risk professionals are talented and highly motivated individuals that operate within a collaborative team environment to deliver value-adding risk management services to our business partners. In leading a horizontal function, you will have the opportunity to partner with a diverse group of stakeholders, both within Network Risk and more broadly, as we seek to achieve a collective goal of prudent risk management. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail and an ability to communicate and manage relationships effectively across multiple stakeholder groups. Through oversight of the end-to-end process, you will be able to showcase these skills while gaining exposure to top Capital One imperatives that impact multiple lines of business.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or military experience
  • At least 3 year of Financial Services Risk Management Experience
  • At least 5 years of Project or Process Management experience
  • At least 7 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients

Nice To Haves

  • At least 7+ years of project management experience leading cross-functional projects and programs in Risk.
  • At least 7+ years of Financial Services risk management experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM).
  • Ability to set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams
  • Consulting experience with a global professional services firm.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the day to day responsibilities associated with executing the EWI/DLI process
  • Governance of the process, including identification of potential EWI/DLIs, information gathering and advisory, strategic planning, and executive reporting and influencing
  • Management of team supporting EWI/DLI governance and reporting
  • Analytics and reporting / presentations on change risk governance programs
  • Ongoing management and monitoring of the initiative pipeline to ensure that overall process health is maintained
  • Resolution of escalations as well as further escalation, as needed
  • Oversight of reporting routines for the change management team, including support for MBRs, Risk Oversight Committee, and ad hoc reports/data requests
  • Identification, training, and onboarding of new stakeholders
  • Relationship management with stakeholders, including holding ongoing check-ins, to ensure that questions and concerns are addressed and that they remain supportive and engaged
  • Partnership with leadership on the definition and implementation strategy efforts, including education campaigns and process improvements, to ensure that EWI/DLI remains a highly visible and effective change risk governance process.
  • Successful implementation of EWI/DLI governance and change management reporting for the Global Payment Network
