The Senior Manager, Revenue will lead technical revenue recognition for M&A activities, ensuring acquired entities’ revenue recognition policies, controls, and Q2C systems align with ASC 606 standards. Act as technical accounting owner and cross-functional advisor to enable scalable, successful, audit-ready M&A integrations.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Active CPA license or comparable professional designation
  • Minimum of 7 years focused on technical revenue accounting (ASC 606); prior experience in M&A due diligence and integration within a public SaaS environment is highly preferred.
  • Career foundation in a Big 4 accounting firm or a global public tech entity
  • Extensive expertise in Quote-to-Cash (QtC) systems, specifically Zuora RevPro and Salesforce.
  • Proven track record managing external audits, SEC reporting, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to identify and translate technical accounting complexities into clear, strategic advice for executive leadership and partners including Finance and Corporate Development.
  • A proactive and collaborative leader who possesses a sharp attention to detail and thrives when managing expanding M&A activity in high-speed, evolving settings.

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end M&A lifecycle: pre-acquisition diligence, closing, and post-close integration.
  • Assess acquired companies’ revenue models to identify accounting, operational, and systems risks.
  • Evaluate and align acquired entities’ ASC 606 policies; document required changes.
  • Prepare and maintain technical accounting memos and formal policy documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance on performance obligations, transaction price, SSP allocation, and contract modifications.
  • Partner with Corporate Development, RevOps, Product Ops, Finance, Internal Revenue Team and Legal on timelines, resourcing, and operationalization.
  • Design/enhance revenue recognition controls and operational processes within Q2C and financial systems (including Zuora/RevPro).
  • Serve as primary liaison to external auditors for M&A; prepare documentation and respond to audit inquiries.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and standardized playbooks to scale M&A accounting work.
