About The Position

Responsible for providing strategic and supervisory oversight and management of Acquisition Partners, supporting the development and management of processes, tools, and people for field offices and Acquisition Partner operations. Serves as a liaison between field office, Acquisition Partners, and SMS corporate support services. This position will develop business plans, marketing programs/strategies and have primary oversight of day-to-day operations management. Building and maintaining strong partnerships with operations and administrative staff within Acquisition Partner operations will be a key responsibility. Also responsible for providing reporting on Acquisition Partner metrics on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Financial Services, Marketing or Business, or an equivalent combination of industry training, designations and experience
• Seven (7) or more years Insurance industry or related field (financial services, marketing, web-based business, business-to-business customer service or call center)
• Three (3) or more years of managerial experience at a field or home office level
• Bilingual (Spanish and English)
• Working knowledge of the general industry procedures, standards, systems, resources, practices and terminology; Medicare knowledge is preferred
• Knowledge of budgeting and financial management principles and procedures
• Knowledge of program and project management including outcomes, quality assurance, and satisfaction measurement and interpretation
• Knowledge of supervisory techniques to accomplish instruction, motivation and training of personnel.
• Skill in negotiating and problem solving to resolve internal and external conflicts
• Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with all customers, employees and the general public
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft/Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Zoom, MS Outlook software preferred)
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in a constructive manner
• Ability to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail while remaining flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests
• Ability to maintain all company policies, including all confidentiality and safety policies
• Ability to actively contribute to team effort

Responsibilities

• Personnel Management/Supervision: Direct supervision of designated personnel and Acquisition Partners. Supervisory responsibilities include: hiring/terminating, disciplinary actions, assigning/checking work, plan/appraise job performance measurements, performance reviews, compensation recommendations, new hire orientation and training; and provide policy and operational leadership.
• Acquisition Relationship Management: Maintains effective communication with Acquisition Partners. Acts as an additional liaison between shared services at SMS and Acquisition Partners. Conducts monthly and annual Acquisition Partner meetings. Serves as a primary contact with Acquisition Partners to resolve day-to-day issues.
• Business Management: Leads and implements marketing programs and strategies. Directs & Leads acquisition leaders in their business plans. Establishes and oversees continuity plans for each entity. Collaborates and partners with the SMS integration team. Participates in key company-wide projects affecting Acquisition Partners. Coordinates with carriers, compliance department, and other areas as necessary to ensure all policies align with carrier and regulatory rules. Participates in agency onboarding and/or integration projects as appropriate. Provides necessary reporting on partner metrics to leadership regularly.
• Leadership and General Management: Works with Director, SMS Marketing & Strategic Development to oversee and develop marketing programs to drive overall revenue growth for SMS and Acquired Partners. Participates in annual goal setting, including annual marketing or business plans for the business unit; Monitors performance against goals; Adheres to budget guidelines and approved annual marketing or business unit plans. Presents at appropriate meetings to provide updates on ongoing initiatives as well as future plans to be implemented, share reports, and identify needs or areas for improvement and action plans for correction. Establishes or oversees the development, maintenance and monitoring of desk manuals, Standard Practice Bulletins (SPBs) and Critical Success Indicators (CSIs).
• Special Projects: Works collaboratively with fellow staff to advance the values and mission of Senior Market Sales by serving on relevant internal and external committees; Assists with special projects/assignments as requested by members of management.
