Neuropsychology is a tight knit, highly collaborative and cooperative group with a strong focus on continuous improvement. The Senior Manager Psychometrist will lead projects and supervise psychometrists with the neuropsychology department; in partnership with our senior manager. You will identify current practices at Banner Research (10515 W Sante Fe Dr) and Banner Alzheimer’s Institute Phoenix (901 E Willetta) to determine where shifts in process are necessary and implement change. In this position, you will identify opportunities for efficiency, and drive change management initiatives to optimize our assessment processes and support employee career development. POSITION SUMMARY This position will manage the successful execution of psychometry activities in both research and clinical programs through direct supervisory oversite of psychometry and other staff members. This includes coordinating and managing efforts of cross-functional and potentially cross-campus teams to support efficient coverage of testing activities, data management, and operationalization of processes in all research programs, clinical outpatient evaluations, and outreach activities as applicable. This position will lead and coordinate training and onboarding activities to ensure psychometry department competencies, growth, and development.

Requirements

  • Must possess knowledge of psychometry management as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or related mental health field.
  • Must have occupational Psychometry experience in clinical and research settings.
  • Must possess a command of psychometry activities, research and management as normally demonstrated with 4-7 years of experience in a clinical and research testing and administrative oversite.
  • Requires strong research and organizational abilities.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must have the ability to guide and lead others.
  • This position requires a high degree of interpersonal skills, leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills to successfully lead multiple team members with varying levels of experience while navigating multiple research and clinical programs and protocols.
  • Must be able to problem solve and make decisions independently as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Directs personnel actions including recruiting, new hire actions, interviewing and selection of staff, salary determinations, trainings, and personnel evaluations. Participates in development and implementation of departmental goals and objectives in accordance with company standards. Directs workflows of psychometry department staff.
  • Acts as a primary point-of-contact for internal and external customers for testing related issues including operational strategies, management and/or oversite of study and clinical documents and data management as appropriate and delineated by neuropsychology leadership; site support & training, and general quality/compliance issues. Facilitates communication across departments and elevates or triages site and study issues as appropriate.
  • Facilitates relevant team meetings and coordinates interaction with other departments and stakeholder groups. Collaborates with providers and managers from other departments to ensure a high-quality patient experience and the highest level of patient satisfaction.
  • Organizes and supports standard operating procedures for study and clinic timelines and critical study and clinical activities to ensure project deliverables are timely and accurate. Provides regular updates to leadership as appropriate.
  • Coordinates problem solving and resolution efforts to include quality control management and operational issues.
  • Maintains direct patient facing activity through cognitive and/or global evaluations, as appropriate. Maintains professional psychometry competencies to provide coverage support as needed.
