Senior Manager, Provider Success (ACO)

Stellar HealthNew York City, NY
4d$155,000 - $190,000

About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Provider Success who thrives in a high-performance, scrappy environment. This is a unique opportunity to join a "startup within a startup." While you won't be starting from zero - you will have access to Stellar’s established best practices, resources, and technology - you will be tasked with applying them in new ways. The playbook for this business line is still being written, and we need someone with the grit to write it while executing at a high level. This role requires a builder’s mindset. You will be responsible for driving results in a complex, at-risk environment, building deep relationships with executive leaders, and utilizing data to tell the story of value-based care performance.

Requirements

  • Experience in the Arena: 7-8 years of relevant performance delivery experience in a healthcare setting
  • Resilience & Adaptability: You are comfortable working in the gray. You understand that a new business line means shifting priorities, high expectations, and the need to be resourceful. You don’t just identify problems; you build the solutions.
  • Data Fluency: You have excellent data analysis skills (Excel, BI tools) and, more importantly, the ability to translate data into actionable business intelligence for external stakeholders.
  • Management Experience: 3+ years of direct people management. You have a track record of motivating high-performing teams and driving professional development.
  • Executive Presence: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build immediate trust across all levels, from front-desk users to executive teams of large health systems.
  • Willingness to Travel: You are willing to travel on occasion to medical groups (up to 25% of the time).

Responsibilities

  • Own the Performance Strategy: You will be the central driver for your portfolio’s success. You will be accountable for meeting medical group performance targets (chronic condition capture, quality performance, and total cost of care) by developing and overseeing the execution of strategic, data-driven action plans.
  • Executive Storytelling & Influence: You will move beyond simple reporting. Partnering with our MedEcon teams, you will analyze complex performance data to generate strategic insights. You will present these narratives to C-suite executives at Medical Groups, influencing them to drive transformation and close performance gaps.
  • High-Stakes Relationship Management: You will serve as the trusted partner and primary point of escalation for your providers and their leadership teams. You must be able to navigate complex conversations, resolve barriers to performance, and ensure providers fully understand the financial implications of their contracts.
  • Operational Scalability & Design: You will identify where our current workflows need to evolve to support the specific needs of the ACO business. You will partner with internal teams to build new processes that allow us to scale this business line efficiently.
  • Team Leadership: You will directly manage and mentor a team member, providing the coaching necessary to succeed in a high-workload, fast-paced environment. You will ensure the team is equipped to execute day-to-day operations while keeping an eye on the bigger strategic picture.
  • Clinical Program Implementation: Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders (Product, Operations, MedEcon) to implement clinical programs designed to address the total cost of care through the Stellar model.
