Position Summary The Senior Manager, Project Program Management (Healthcare Payor) of the Aetna Clinical Enablement Intake team serves as a strategic leader and key driver, bringing proven expertise in relationship management across all organizational levels. This role focuses on two primary areas: expanding capabilities by enhancing and scaling existing processes and application functionality to support additional teams and users, and providing operational leadership through the day-to-day management of the intake process for critical projects and work items within the Aetna Clinical Enablement team. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional engagement skills with senior leadership (Executive Director, Assistant Vice President & Vice President), possesses the ability to dive into operational details while delivering concise, impactful updates to executive stakeholders, and excels as a collaborative partner who unites diverse stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in roles involving operational leadership and project management.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to drive results and lead high-performing teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adept at effectively conveying key messages to executive leaders and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering results within deadlines in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse groups toward common objectives.
  • Experience with motivating teams to achieve high standards of performance and outcomes.
  • Experience in creating executive-level PowerPoint presentations, ensuring clarity, impact, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with advanced skills in presentation development and data analysis.

  • Deliver weekly presentations to senior leadership.
  • Ensure the project intake process operates seamlessly, maintaining cadence and eliminating delays or bottlenecks.
  • Oversee project execution to achieve on-time delivery, meeting specifications and staying within budget.
  • Lead and motivate the team to consistently fulfill responsibilities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Track progress against key milestones and implement value-based metrics and analysis to measure outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across Health Care Business, Aetna Clinical Solutions, and technology teams to achieve common goals.
