About The Position

Position Description: Develops software applications using Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies. Synchronizes software development projects using technical tools -- Jira Align. Leads the use of Scrum and scaled Agile frameworks -- software requirements discovery and software solutions improvement. Facilitates Scrum and scaled Agile ceremonies -- developing user stories. Visualizes how the team is performing and where they can improve throughout the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) using JIRA metrics. Primary Responsibilities: Implements process improvement techniques as it relates to software release velocity. Manages new software products using data analytics. Manages software development execution to meet the throughput. Ensures adherence to the team’s budget, schedule, and scope. Supervises the work of programmers, technologists, technicians, and other engineering personnel. Prepares reports or correspondences concerning project specifications, activities, or status. Develops and directs software system development, engineering, and testing. Develops and directs validation procedures, programming, or documentation. Manages DevOps implementation and releases at regular intervals (weekly, monthly, and quarterly). Guides multiple Scrum/Kanban teams to achieve goals and resolve the impediments. Conducts agile ceremonies to release on demand projects from stakeholders. Supports change management and incident management in the domain. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Senior Manager, Product Development (or closely related occupation) managing Scrum and Kanban teams by leading and directing Information Technology (IT) projects from inception to launch according to Agile or Scaled Agile methodologies in Financial Services environments. Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Manager, Product Development (or closely related occupation) managing Scrum and Kanban teams by leading and directing Information Technology (IT) projects from inception to launch according to Agile or Scaled Agile methodologies in Financial Services environments. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) creating projects stories, backlogs, and references to execute project deliverables using enterprise tools – Atlassian, Jira, and Confluence; creating and project managing business, design, development, and test stories according to Agile methodologies; and project managing Scrum teams – managing backlog refinement, retrospective, sprint review, vision, roadmap, release plan, milestone review, and sprint planning within a financial services environment. DE monitoring, maintaining, and communicating the state of automation executions and configuration setup of Jenkin, Maven, Cucumber, and Git Stash for Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) in DevOps environment; and performing project and program management using Software Development Methodologies and enterprise tools -- ServiceNow, Jira, Jira Align, Smart Intake, Tableau, and Domo. DE performing Agile coaching, training, and mentoring in retirement services, using Scrum, Kanban, Scrum@Scale, Mural, and Agility Health; and performing Agile health assessments of Scrum and Kanban teams and product areas in Defined Benefit (DB) and Health Care product environments, using Metrics, Reports, Objective Key Performance Indicators (OKPIs), Idea Boards, and Agility Health tool. DE managing Workplace Investment or Retirement Services and Healthcare product projects supporting all aspects in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle according to Agile methodologies --gathering business requirements and translating them to epics, features, and user stories with technical and architectural design, and functional implementation specifications in Scrum model; and managing maintenance projects with tickets in Kanban from inception to launch.

Requirements
