About The Position

The Senior Manager of Procurement is responsible for managing the daily operations of a specific team within the procurement department and for executing the company's sourcing strategies. This role involves leading a team of procurement managers and specialists, managing key supplier relationships, and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The Senior Manager will report to and will work closely with the Senior Director of Procurement to implement procurement policies and drive continuous improvement within the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Procurement or strategic sourcing, with at least 2-3 years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems and procurement software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of specific members of the procurement team to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Manage the entire procure-to-pay cycle, from requisitioning and purchasing to invoice reconciliation.
  • Implement and enforce procurement policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support.
  • Monitor team performance and report on key metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and cycle times.
  • Execute strategic sourcing initiatives to identify and qualify new suppliers.
  • Lead contract negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Manage relationships with critical suppliers and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Analyze procurement data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment.
  • Support the implementation of new procurement technologies and systems.
