About The Position

The Senior Manager of Policy and Regulatory Affairs will be responsible for the company's regulatory, legislative, and market-design strategies across target markets. This position will provide leadership for state and federal government affairs initiatives and collaborate across all departments. The ideal candidate brings deep energy policy expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to operate strategically in complex regulatory environments. This is an onsite role in our Pittsburgh, PA HQ office. Our in office schedule is 4 days/week onsite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in policy, business, or an energy-related field required; master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience required with an energy generation or renewable energy company.
  • Prior experience in state and/or federal energy policy or regulation highly preferred.
  • Experience with FERC, RTOs, and state utility commissions preferred.
  • Working knowledge of policy and regulatory mechanisms and processes.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects, deadlines, and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop policy and regulatory priorities in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Represent the company in regional and national trade associations, monitoring developments and communicating priorities.
  • Drive advocacy by cultivating relationships with policymakers, regulators, and stakeholders.
  • Build and lead industry coalitions in support of company priorities and engage constructively with peer organizations.
  • Serve as the company’s representative in key states, including lobbying, drafting testimony, and managing policy positions.
  • Identify potential legislative and regulatory threats and benefits affecting company assets.
  • Develop comprehensive reports and presentations outlining risks, opportunities, and recommended mitigation strategies.
  • Manage and contribute to issues related to RTO and FERC proceedings, market mechanisms for battery storage, transmission, interconnection, siting and zoning, and federal tax and incentive policy.
