About The Position

The Senior Manager, People, leads the execution of strategic people initiatives to support business objectives and operational needs. This role oversees talent development/succession planning, performance management, organizational design and transformation, and change. By leveraging data analysis and fostering collaborative partnerships, the position drives continuous improvement and operational excellence. The Senior Manager operates as a strategic advisor to executive leaders, providing coaching and mentorship to build high-performing teams, promote ethical standards, and supports a positive workplace culture that enables associates to thrive and deliver exceptional results aligned with company values. This role on the Walmart US eCommerce + Marketing directly support the Marketing organization.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise as a strategic HR partner supporting senior or executive-level leaders
  • Strong expertise in organizational design, talent strategy, and workforce planning.
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
  • Experience in talent planning, associate engagement, and developing high-performing teams through coaching and mentoring.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to build trusting relationships and influence cross-functional partners.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, adaptability, and fostering a culture of learning and accountability.
  • Curiosity and adaptability, especially in applying emerging technologies like AI to HR.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of business plans by identifying needs, setting priorities, and removing obstacles to enhance performance.
  • Enable large-scale transformation through organizational design efforts, including operating model development, spans and layers optimization, and workflow analysis.
  • Diagnose organizational challenges and implement solutions that improve effectiveness, speed, and clarity.
  • Translate complex talent topics into clear, actional able insights tied to business performance.
  • Design and operationalize succession strategies tied to critical roles and evolving business needs.
  • Supervise and develop associates through training, mentoring, performance evaluations, and recognition.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by providing guidance and training.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate and improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Define and implement people strategies aligned with business goals and organizational change initiatives.
  • Analyze people and business data to inform decisions, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of information.
  • Leverage AI tools to streamline work and enhance decisions-making in day-to-day people processes and practices.
