About The Position

The Senior Manager, Patient Services and Distribution Effectiveness serves as a key driver of performance insight and operational excellence across Acadia’s patient support and product distribution network. This role combines analytical rigor with strategic collaboration to enhance how patients navigate the onboarding, access, reimbursement, and ongoing treatment journey. In this highly cross-functional role, the Senior Manager will synthesize data from multiple sources, including HUB, Specialty Pharmacy (SP), Specialty Distributor (SD), and 3PL channels, to uncover performance trends, identify root causes, and develop actionable insights that improve patient and provider experiences. They will partner closely with colleagues across Patient Services, Distribution, Market Access, and Commercial Operations to translate insights into scalable process improvements that drive business impact and ensure patients receive timely and seamless support. The ideal candidate brings deep understanding of the pharmaceutical access and reimbursement ecosystem, advanced analytical and data visualization skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings in clear, compelling ways. This individual thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has a passion for using data to improve patient outcomes and operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field. Targeting 8 years of progressively responsible experience in data analytics, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
  • Comprehension of pharmaceutical commercialization, patient services and distribution networks. Experience supporting products within the rare disease marketplace place a plus.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical data with demonstrated experience in specialty pharmacy, hub, claims, market access, and distribution data sources.
  • Excellent analytical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities with demonstrated abilities to think creatively and strategically to solve and answer key business questions/problems.
  • Advanced level of Excel modeling and statistical analysis techniques along with demonstrated proficient skills in PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work and learn in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment,
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, with a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with all levels of management, colleagues within other departments and vendors.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to present at a management level with the capability to dive into details when needed.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, ability to multitask, and prioritize
  • Works with a sense of urgency without compromising level of quality and process.
  • Experience using reporting and dashboard visualization platforms (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau or similar).
  • Must be able to travel on occasion.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage analytics tools and methodologies to interpret data from Hub, SP, SD, & 3PL channels to gain operational insights and assess areas of growth opportunity.
  • Define patient support and access KPIs to measure, develop routine reporting and analytics that monitor trends and performance of patient support programs and distribution activities.
  • Lead the creation of a unified patient funnel dashboard to identify leakage points and improve visibility across HUB, SP, SD, and Direct Pharmacy workflows.
  • Support the deployment, targeting, and activity prioritization of Field Access Managers (FAM) and Patient Access Managers (PAM) teams with the ability to deep-dive into detailed data analytics to identify key performance drivers around the patient onboarding process, the payer reimbursement process, and ongoing patient treatment adherence/prescription refill process.
  • Partner and support the distribution team, by establishing KPIs and performance reporting/score cards to monitor Acadia’s distribution partners to ensure services levels are meeting defined expectations.
  • Enhance QBR frameworks by integrating action-oriented insights, root-cause analysis, and performance tiering to drive strategic accountability with distribution partners.
  • Collaborate and partner closely with patient support and distribution teams to ensure reporting metrics are consistent across the organization.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams in sales, marketing, trade, and market access to evaluate the effectiveness of current programs and strategize improvements to optimize the patient experience.
  • Work in sync with IT and data management teams to ensure data warehousing and reporting requirements and processes are adhered to.
  • Ensure data quality and availability through Hub, SP, SD, and 3PL vendors.
  • Collaborate with Market Access to integrate MMIT formulary data and link payer access dynamics to patient performance and leakage mitigation strategies.
  • Create a compelling story through data visualization tools, communicating solutions to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Monitor and report on Specialty Pharmacy (SP), Hub, and Specialty Distributor (SD) product distribution performance.
  • Develop predictive models to identify patients for proactive intervention.
  • Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports and insights for patient onboarding and ongoing support services.
  • Generate and enhance reports and insights for QBR scorecard reviews, including internal pre-QBR alignment and partner follow-up tracking.
  • Integrate new datasets to create new analyses and dashboards, including subnational onboarding metrics and HUB vs. Direct Pharmacy comparisons to inform channel strategy and field deployment.
