How you’ll make an impact: Lead and manage negotiations of contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, and Change Orders. Oversee and lead the RFP process, ensuring thorough evaluation and selection of vendors. Manage all aspects of clinical contracts throughout the study lifecycle. Drive competitive pricing and favorable contract terms while ensuring timelines and quality. Develop and review SOWs in collaboration with Legal and Finance. Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with vendors and support preferred provider models. Conduct detailed comparative analysis of vendor budgets to identify negotiation opportunities. Negotiate payment schedules and financial terms. Track study and project budgets, including monitoring actuals and identifying variances. Collaborate closely with Finance on budgeting and forecasting. Ensure financial accountability through budget management and reporting. Attend study team meetings to ensure scope and specifications are accurately reflected in agreements. Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders. Ensure clear communication and alignment across functions. Lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Deliver projects on time and within budget with high quality and compliance. Drive strategic initiatives and continuous improvement within clinical outsourcing. Provide strategic input into vendor selection, outsourcing models, and governance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in clinical outsourcing or a closely related clinical operations role.
  • Demonstrated track record of effective pricing and contract negotiations, including unit-based pricing.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trials and outsourcing processes.
  • Proven experience managing MSAs, SOWs, Change Orders, and RFP processes.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and Clinical teams.
  • Excellent project management skills with a history of on-time delivery.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • The anticipated base salary range for this role is $145,000 – $240,000, with eligibility for annual bonus, equity participation, and comprehensive benefits.
  • Actual salary is based on a holistic evaluation of the specific role/level as well as each candidate’s depth of experience and the capabilities they bring to the position.
