About The Position

The Senior Manager of Operations is responsible for overseeing daily operations, building relationships with school partners, assisting in the writing and reporting of operational grants, and managing the training and onboarding of operational staff to enhance overall performance.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience in a clinical healthcare setting
  • An associate degree in business, management, or a healthcare-related field plus a year or more of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to use computers to receive, organize, prioritize and transit information.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office – including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Comprehension of and appropriate use of medical terminology.
  • Comprehension of and appropriate application of third-party payer guidelines and concepts related to quality assurance measures.
  • Compliance with organization policies and procedures.
  • Excellent customer service skills and resourcefulness in problem-solving and managing priorities.
  • English/Spanish bilingual proficiency preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Capacity to work effectively as part of a team required.
  • Ability to interact with diverse groups of people of various disciplines and educational levels required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee initiatives and staff managing relationships with school administrators, faculty, athletic staff, nurses, advisory boards, and social workers to drive utilization that supports student academic outcomes.
  • Lead, manage, and oversee managers at School Based Health Centers (SBHC). Assign and direct managers’ work, review performance, address complaints, monitor workloads, and authorize appropriate disciplinary action. With approval, guide direct reports on leadership skills and development, coaching subordinates, appraising performance, and enacting discipline per the Collective Bargaining Agreement and Tapestry 360 Health policies. Monitor safety, quality, and staff satisfaction.
  • Foster team cohesiveness; inspire operational excellence. Coach managers on creating systems to enhance the patient experience with standardized, well-organized, efficient, and reliable workflows that prioritize patient hospitality.
  • Oversee clinical purchasing, equipment maintenance and repair, and inventory control, establishing standard procedures and protocols.
  • Oversee training and career development programs for operational staff.
  • Direct the Medical Assistant Training Program in partnership with NIMAA.
  • Participate in SBHC budget discussions; provide data to support recommendations.
  • Responsible for the accuracy, substance, and timeliness of reports, projects, schedules, and other relevant work products, as assigned.
  • Stay apprised of SBHC trends and policy initiatives impacting the delivery of health care services at local, state, and national levels; educate staff regarding policy and process changes impacting health care services.
  • Attend and participate in management team meetings and work cooperatively to maximize service and reporting outcomes, and develop long-range plans, service delivery models, and other significant strategies and/or systems.
  • Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to manage direct reports' performance and ensure organizational accountability across all operational activities.
  • Forge a strategic partnership with the Director of Operations to synchronize efforts and drive operational excellence, ensuring that both roles work in tandem to achieve shared goals and enhance overall effectiveness in service delivery.
  • Actively support the Director of Operations by exchanging insights and implementing best practices, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, teamwork, and effective problem-solving for continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
