The Senior Manager, Operations – Transportation is responsible for leading strategic and operational execution across a regional transportation network. This role ensures service excellence, cost optimization, safety compliance, and team development while aligning operations with division goals. The Senior Manager will drive continuous improvement, foster cross-functional collaboration, and serve as a key liaison for major customer accounts. Summary of Essential Job Functions Strategic & Operational Leadership Oversee transportation operations across the region, including scheduling, dispatch, routing, and load execution. Develop and implement KPIs to monitor performance, cost-efficiency, and service delivery across the network. Support new business onboarding, including process design, labor modeling, and resource planning. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with dispatch, maintenance, safety, recruiting and customer service teams to ensure seamless logistics execution. Collaborate with commercial teams to support regional growth initiatives. Client & Stakeholder Engagement Serve as the primary operations contact for key regional clients, ensuring SLA adherence and resolving escalations promptly. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align operational strategies with business objectives. Financial & Administrative Oversight Prepare and manage regional budgets, labor planning, and cost controls. Analyze financial and operational reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and develop frontline supervisors, dispatchers, and support staff. Create a culture of accountability, engagement, and high performance across all operational teams.
