About The Position

KitchenAid Small Appliances, a Business Unit of Whirlpool Corporation, seeks a Senior Manager of Internal Communications to develop and lead strategies that inform, engage, and inspire its global employees. This role focuses on building brand culture, aligning staff with business priorities, and enhancing executive visibility. Reporting to the HR Senior Director, the Senior Manager will collaborate closely with and provide support to the President of KitchenAid and the surrounding leadership team, as well as broader Whirlpool teams, to drive initiatives that clarify business strategy. The ideal candidate possesses strong business acumen, a global perspective, is collaborative, metrics-focused, and adept at influencing across the organization while reinforcing company values. This role is fully on-site at our Global Headquarters in Benton Harbor, Michigan. A comprehensive relocation package is available for eligible candidates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate or internal communications, with significant experience supporting senior-level executives.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and implementing change management communication plans for large, global organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead KitchenAid’s internal communications approach while collaborating with key partners to develop communications strategy and tactics that enhance, support, and drive KitchenAid’s key business priorities.
  • Develop and distribute internal communications and programs, and leverage the use of internal communications platforms, including, but not limited to, the company intranet site, internal corporate communications, and other communications channels that support the company’s overall corporate communications strategy.
  • Directly or personally handle highly sensitive, confidential projects and advise management regarding communication or KitchenAid strategic issues.
  • Work with members of the leadership team to develop and manage KitchenAid’s events calendar, and to develop and prepare content and presentations for its key initiatives, operations updates, and leadership team meetings.
  • Create and monitor benchmark data and criteria that measure the effectiveness of communications initiatives.
  • Report directly to the HR Senior Director, KitchenAid Small Appliances. This role will also be a part of Whirlpool Corporation’s communications leadership team.
