About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Accounting to manage the day-to-day accounting operations of our growing SaaS company. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger and maintaining a high standard of operational efficiency across our core accounting functions. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will be responsible for leading the month-end close process and managing a team of accounting professionals. You will play a key role in refining internal processes and maintaining compliance with GAAP as the company scales. We are looking for a hands-on manager who is skilled at navigating the complexities of a fast-paced environment while providing mentorship and technical guidance to their team.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA (or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a people-management role. Experience in a high-growth SaaS environment is highly preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of US GAAP, specifically regarding multi-entity consolidations and accounting for foreign subsidiaries.
  • Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in NetSuite is required.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage, mentor, and scale an accounting team. Must be comfortable delegating while maintaining high standards for accuracy and team accountability.
  • Operational Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain accounting processes and internal control requirements to cross-functional partners.
  • Analytical Rigor: Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.

Nice To Haves

  • Big 4 public accounting experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with FloQast (or similar close-management tools), Zip and Brex and accounting automation software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, GL, payroll, fixed assets, leases and bank reconciliations for both US and foreign entities.
  • Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all journal entries and reconciliations are completed accurately to support timely financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls across all managed functions.
  • Lead the annual audit process, serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensuring all requests are met.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and best practices to improve financial integrity and operational scale.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the accounting tech stack to increase efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of accounting professionals, focusing on their technical growth and performance.
  • Collaborate with tax advisors and financial institutions to ensure regulatory compliance and effective cash management.
  • Support ad hoc projects, such as system implementations or international entity setup, as the company expands.
