The role- Senior Manager of Accounting  Provide oversight of and leadership to the Accounting operations of Crossbridge Hospice, including Accounting, Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Audit activities.  This role will be responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of our financial statements, including Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flows.  This role will act as a Finance Business Partner to the operational leaders of Crossbridge Hospice.  This role will help local Hospice leaders understand their monthly Profit and Loss Statements, including their cost drivers and profit levers.   This role is expected to be on a career path to be the next Controller of Crossbridge Hospice.   This role will exemplify and be an ambassador of our Mission of providing compassionate and family-centered hospice care that honors the dignity of every patient. 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting management or supervision experience,
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for financial oversight with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare financial operations, including regulatory compliance, cost reporting, and reimbursement fundamentals
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, collaborating effectively with team members across multiple time zones.
  • Experience managing and developing remote teams, including performance management and accountability.
  • High ethical standards and sound professional judgment, with a track record of compliance, accuracy, and responsible stewardship of resources.
  • Proficiency with general ledger systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
  • Experience in healthcare services, with hospice services experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of hospice reimbursement, including Medicare and Medicaid regulations, and related compliance requirements.
  • Experience with healthcare financial systems, including EMRs and revenue cycle management tools.
  • Experience using Sage Intacct or similar cloud-based general ledger platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and own the relationship with an outsourced Accounting team from Consero.
  • Manage and own the administration of our accounting tools, including Sage Intacct, Bill.com, and Divvy credit cards.  Enforce employee policy and process compliance for Accounts Payable and Company credit cards.
  • Execute the weekly Accounts Payable payment process
  • Oversee audits and interactions with external auditors, CMS, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Partner with the executive leadership team and Board to support growth strategies, mergers/acquisitions, and service expansion.
  • Maintain a relationship with our Banking partners and oversee Cash controls and overall Treasury management.
  • Develop and maintain financial controls, policies, and risk management processes.
  • Lead and develop an Accounting and Accounts Payable team
  • Help integrate the acquisition of new Hospice companies into our existing accounting operations.  Travel, as needed, to oversee the integration of these new Hospice entities.
