About The Position

To oversee strategic application engineering functions and initiatives, focusing on network systems. The Senior Manager provides leadership and direction through managers and is accountable for the performance and results of related teams and/or functions. Supports executive leadership in defining organizational goals and strategic plans and translates strategic vision into policies and operational plans for a broad functional area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience, with 6+ years in management experience; or equivalent experience as the subject matter lead or expert in area of expertise.
  • Expert-level knowledge in network engineering function and ability to effectively communicate across multiple functional areas.
  • Requires a comprehensive understanding of internal and industry standards as well as the changing business environment.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to influence others internally and externally; including senior executives, vendors and regulators.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing operational and strategic plans for enterprise network technologies, aligning infrastructure roadmaps with business objectives to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable connectivity across data centers, campuses, branch offices, cloud environments, and partner networks.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cost centers for a global network portfolio (including WAN, Cloud, Data Center, Internet/Edge, Security, DNS, etc.), with responsibilities encompassing budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and ROI analysis to ensure that technology investments align with broader business objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving operational excellence through standardized processes, continuous improvement, proactive risk management, and operational governance while ensuring robust cyber hygiene practices that safeguard enterprise networks against vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.

Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, implement, and troubleshoot the organization's computer networks.
  • Configure and maintain network hardware and software, ensuring optimal performance
  • Ensure network security and integrity through proactive monitoring and comprehensive security measures
  • Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement timely solutions
  • Leads a function that includes multiple related operational activities led by subordinate managers
  • Makes recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology
  • Oversees operational activities for a broad functional area and contributes to strategic planning
  • Applies industry expertise and awareness to drive financial and operational performance within a division
  • Develops business plans that impact departmental priorities
