About The Position

The Senior Manager, Network Engineering will lead the strategic and operational management of Mativ's global network infrastructure. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of WAN/LAN architecture, telecom and telephony systems, and vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and a proven ability to drive cost-effective, scalable, and secure network solutions. This role will report into the Vice President of IT Infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in Cisco, Meraki, networking technologies; SD-WAN, VoIP, VPN, and firewall management.
  • Strong understanding of telecom systems, TEM platforms, and telephony standards.
  • Proven track record in budget management and vendor negotiations.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as CCNP, ITIL, or PMP are preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain scalable, secure WAN/LAN architectures including SD-WAN deployments.
  • Oversee network refresh initiatives across global sites, ensuring alignment with performance, reliability, and security goals.
  • Drive ROI from network tools utilizing a holistic approach focusing on optimizing network performance, streamlining operations, enhancing security, and leveraging data for informed decision-making.
  • Manage telecom infrastructure and contracts, including wireline, mobility, and hosted services.
  • Lead the rollout and optimization of both Call Center and VoIP telephony systems while standardizing platforms and driving adoption across all business units.
  • Utilize Telecom Expense Management (TEM) tools to monitor and reduce spend.
  • Develop and manage network-related budgets, including capital and operational expenditures.
  • Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities through vendor negotiations and infrastructure rationalization.
  • Own relationships with key vendors including Cisco, Meraki, HP, and telecom providers.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and manage service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure performance and accountability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across network operations, leveraging KPIs and SLA metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network strategy with business goals.
  • Lead strategic planning sessions and contribute to long-term IT infrastructure roadmaps
