What you will be doing: Oversee the Marketplace initiative from an accounting perspective. Ensure accuracy of our systems ledger as a reflection of inventory held at third party and Amazon warehouses, partnering with Marketplace Operations and SDS teams as necessary. Manage the reconciliation of FBA shipments from our 3PL to Amazon ensuring proper accounting of inventory in our ledger. Manage financial implications of open claims. Manage excess and obsolescence risk associated with FBA inventory. Ensure adequacy of all program related balance sheet accounts including capitalized freight and program related fees. Oversee the reconciliation of sales between our system and Amazon’s system and ensure we have been properly paid by Amazon for all net sales. Lead conversations frequently with Mark. Ensure proper controls are in place to support seller fulfilled and Amazon fulfilled initiatives Lead SOX walk throughs and controls testing/conversations with Internal and External auditors. Partner with the Marketplace operations team on designing accounting processes systemic flows to support current reconciliation and new program needs. Partner with SDS to test new marketplace partners ensuring all data is properly flowing into our systems Oversee two direct reports on-shore

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, and a high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of experience including prior management experience

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, experience in a similar industry or larger organization, and advanced knowledge of regulatory compliance and financial standards.
