JOB SUMMARY The Senior Manager Market Ops, Special Assignments is responsible for supporting the Company’s strategic objectives, mission, vision and values as they relate to property operations for the overall portfolio. This is a national position and will work closely with regional and market staff and senior management to ensure the revenue and expense budgets for all markets are achieved. It is also responsible for providing support and guidance on all daily management and operational issues and ensuring operational consistency and compliance across the Company’s market offices. Innovative business strategies are critical to this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8 or more years of previous business/operations management experience in a real estate operations environment
  • 4 or more years of supervisory experience
  • Proven record of achieving or exceeding P&L results
  • Knowledge of Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Flooring, Appliances, Landscaping and Irrigation
  • Knowledge of general UBC building codes and rental property health and safety regulations
  • Systems as they relate to residential homes
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Up to 75% travel

Nice To Haves

  • Yardi and/or Salesforce experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes without direct supervision

Responsibilities

  • Provide substitute coverage for market leadership across construction, service, and general property management
  • Evaluate existing market operations to identify opportunities for operational improvement and propose viable solutions, through the course of interim coverage
  • Work closely with market leaders to ensure property management revenue, expense, staffing and training goals are achieved
  • Assist market leaders with training new hires, as needed
  • Work cross-functionally and across all market areas to ensure processes and workflow are aligned with organizational goals
  • Support change management in the organization to ensure proper documentation and training is provided to impacted employees
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively lead change throughout the organization
  • Conduct periodic market reviews, as requested by senior leadership
  • Ensure policies are up to date, complete, and uploaded to policy management system
  • Ensure all safety standards are met and training is completed
  • Collaborate with various levels of leadership, market teams, and all Company business units
  • Drive results cross-functionally
  • Ensure markets meet or exceed designated KPIs
  • Coordinate activities to maximize the efficiency of all processes
  • Ensure all training requirements are completed timely
