About The Position

As a Senior Manager, Maritime Marketing, you will create, identify and implement marketing strategies to meet current and emerging needs of the Maritime Division lines-of-business including Cruise, Fishing and Commercial Operations and Recreational Boating. You will successfully identify emerging markets, new cruise lines, commercial/fishing and recreational boating moorage products and services to expand maritime business and retain existing customers, to serve the Port of Seattle's fundamental mission of vital economic development and job creation in our region. You will provide comprehensive marketing and communication leadership for Maritime division business directors who are responsible for multiple competing initiatives at multiple Port facilities. You will manage and supervise Maritime Marketing staff and professional services consultant contracts. You will deliver needed marketing across multimedia platforms including print, visual (still & video) social, and website, across consumer and trade audiences for multiple business units. You will collaborate with business partners to solve business challenges and innovate solutions for increased revenue and guest satisfaction. You will develop and manage annual Maritime division marketing plans and related expense budgets. You will partner with internal and external destination marketing organizations and other stakeholders to leverage messaging and budgets by collaboratively partnering on efforts in support of business partners. You will conduct and/or participate in research related to customer insights, growth opportunities, regional economic benefits and utilize results to support business partners. Experienced – You have six (6) years of experience in cruise/maritime, marketing or business development, to include three (3) years of experience supervising staff and managing a marketing or business development program. Strategic & Analytical – You have experience with strategic planning, managing budgets, and creative process from innovation to delivery of marketing projects and are skilled in analysis of budgets, product, and services information including website and social media. Work Schedule – Your normal work schedule will be Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). Slightly more flexible start and end times are available in this role. You may be required to work any and all assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays. You may be required to work during emergencies. Work Environment - This work will take place in a hybrid/in-office setting at Management’s discretion. Washington State Residency Requirement – Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle.
