About The Position

RBC Bank (Georgia), N.A. is a US subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada with a passion to provide US Banking services for Canadians living, working and travelling in the United States. RBC Bank’s “Cross-Border” solutions are designed to meet the unique needs and challenges Canadians face south of the border including but not limited to the ability to access and link their Canadian and US Banking accounts, perform Cross Border Transfers and leveraging their Canadian credit standing and existing banking relationships with RBC for purposes of obtaining credit/loans in the US. RBC Bank Operations is located in Raleigh, NC. Operating within the first line of defense (1LoD), this role is part of the RBC Bank Office of Technology Risk & Controls, responsible for driving risk transparency, audit coordination, IT Control Governance and Procedure, Job Aid (PJ) maintenance across technology functions. The role plays a role in enabling risk-informed decision-making through the development and delivery of executive-level risk reporting aligned with RBC Bank’s Risk Management Framework, regulatory expectations (OCC, FRB), and industry standards (NIST, FFIEC). This role supports the ongoing oversight and reporting of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), enabling meaningful insights into the technology risk landscape and facilitating regular engagement with senior leadership via Risk and IT Governance Committees. The role partners with 1LoD Technology teams and second-line risk functions to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of risk narratives, committee updates, and follow-through on action items. In addition, the role is accountable for managing internal and external audit coordination across technology domains. This includes end-to-end ownership of audit requests, evidence tracking, walkthrough facilitation, and ongoing remediation monitoring. The role also supports the maintenance and governance of IT Risk and Cybersecurity Procedure, Job Aid (PJ), including periodic reviews.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in the financial services or other regulated industries
  • 6-8 years of experience in a risk and control function such as risk management, internal audit, compliance
  • Proven experience working with technology and business leaders to track issues and deliver reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) with the ability to translate technical information into business context
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • Technology-savvy and self-sufficient with strong hands-on knowledge of Confluence, SharePoint, MS Office
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) for risk reporting and dashboards
  • Highly developed organizational and follow-up abilities
  • Strong critical thinking and ability to analyze and synthesize risk data
  • Proven written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to deliver under tight timelines with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Lead risk reporting activities for Technology Risk Committees
  • Design and maintain Key Risk Indicator (KRI) dashboards across technology risk domains
  • Coordinate risk committee materials, track action items, and ensure closure of escalations
  • Develop executive-level risk narratives and materials for Senior Management Team engagement
  • Drive organizational adoption and optimization of Walrus platform to enhance risk management capabilities
  • Lead cross-functional engagement between CUSO and enterprise stakeholders to investigate KRI breaches, identify root causes, and develop remediation Path to Green plans
  • Orchestrate control testing activities across control owners, performers, and independent testers
  • Oversee backup schedules on a recurring basis and maintain current updates
  • Manage end-to-end audit coordination for internal and external exams across technology areas
  • Oversee audit request tracking, evidence collection, walkthrough support, and response reviews
  • Maintain and govern SharePoint and Confluence repositories for risk and audit documentation
  • Monitor open audit issues and drive timely remediation in partnership with technology teams
  • Maintenance of monitoring of IT Risk and Cybersecurity Procedure, Job Aid (PJ)
  • Ensure Procedure, Job Aid alignment with Policy and Standard
  • Facilitate Procedure, Job Aid reviews, approvals, version control
