The Senior Manager, IT Operations & Infrastructure is responsible for designing, planning, and governing ThermoSafe’s core infrastructure environment as a standalone organization. This role owns cloud platforms, identity and access management, network services, end-user computing, and enterprise telecom and voice services. The role is strategy, design, and coordination-focused, with day-to-day operations delivered through managed service partners. The Senior Manager ensures infrastructure and telecom decisions are well-architected, properly sequenced, and aligned across Sonoco TSA dependencies, third-party providers, and ThermoSafe business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering roles
• 5+ years in a senior infrastructure leadership or architecture role
• Experience owning enterprise telecom and voice services
• Experience operating in complex, multi-vendor environments
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, identity services, and enterprise infrastructure
• Strong executive and business communication skills

• Experience supporting manufacturing or operational environments preferred

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & Platform Strategy Own the target-state infrastructure and telecom architecture for ThermoSafe as a standalone company
• Lead planning and design across cloud platforms, identity services, networking, end-user computing, and voice/telecom
• Ensure infrastructure and telecom solutions support manufacturing operations, business continuity, and growth
• Telecom & Voice Ownership Own enterprise telecom and voice services, including mobile phones, collaboration platforms, and carrier relationships
• Lead planning and execution of telecom transitions from Sonoco to ThermoSafe-owned services
• Establish standards and governance for device provisioning, mobile lifecycle management, and vendor coordination
• Transition & Separation Execution Lead infrastructure and telecom planning across Sonoco TSA services, Data Intensity, Protera, and other partners
• Ensure clean transitions of infrastructure and voice services from Sonoco to ThermoSafe platforms
• Coordinate sequencing, dependencies, and readiness activities across vendors and internal teams
• Vendor & Partner Leadership Serve as the primary infrastructure and telecom counterpart to managed service providers and cloud partners
• Provide architectural direction and oversight to vendor-delivered work
• Ensure vendor activities are aligned and executed according to plan
• Operational Governance & Stability Establish infrastructure and telecom standards, patterns, and operational guardrails
• Partner with IT Operations to ensure production stability and controlled change
• Participate in change management and release governance to minimize disruption
• Security Collaboration & Risk Awareness Collaborate with security and compliance stakeholders to ensure infrastructure and telecom designs support security requirements
• Support identity, access, and platform security controls in coordination with internal teams and external partners
• Assist with vendor risk management and policy implementation
• Growth & Future Readiness Support infrastructure and telecom due diligence for future acquisitions
• Design scalable infrastructure and voice solutions that integrate efficiently
• Evaluate platform and carrier options to improve reliability and cost transparency
