To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What you'll be doing The Senior Manager, International Executive Leadership plays a key role in advancing the organization’s leadership strategy by supporting the design and delivery of executive development experiences for senior leaders across the enterprise. This role helps shape initiatives that strengthen leadership capabilities, expand global perspective, and prepare senior leaders to navigate an increasingly complex and evolving business environment. Working closely with senior HR leaders, business integrated stakeholders, and external academic institutions, the Senior Manager helps translate enterprise leadership priorities into high-impact development experiences. This includes supporting the development of executive learning programs, preparing strategic materials for leadership forums, and coordinating partnerships with leading executive education institutions. Through these efforts, the role contributes to building a strong and future-ready leadership pipeline aligned with the organization’s strategic priorities. Requirements

  • Ability to connect leadership development initiatives to broader organizational strategy and leadership capability needs.
  • Strong ability to synthesize insights and identify implications for leadership development and organizational effectiveness.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and compelling narratives.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and presentation development skills with demonstrated ability to create executive-ready materials.
  • Ability to develop structured and visually compelling materials that support executive learning and leadership discussions.
  • Ability to influence and coordinate across multiple stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage complex initiatives and competing priorities.
  • Experience coordinating high-profile initiatives involving executive audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Executive Leadership Development Strategy Support the design and evolution of executive leadership development initiatives aligned with enterprise strategy and leadership capability priorities.
  • Contribute to the development of frameworks and approaches that strengthen leadership effectiveness across senior leadership populations.
  • Help ensure executive learning experiences are aligned with broader talent, succession, and leadership strategies.
  • Executive Education and Institutional Partnerships Support partnerships with leading academic institutions and executive education providers to deliver world-class development experiences for senior leaders.
  • Coordinate the development and delivery of executive learning programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external faculty.
  • Help ensure that program content reflects emerging leadership trends, industry insights, and enterprise strategic priorities.
  • Executive Communications and Strategic Materials Develop high-quality presentations, briefing materials, and communications to support executive leadership programs and leadership forums.
  • Translate complex leadership concepts, strategic priorities, and program insights into clear and visually compelling presentations.
  • Support the preparation of materials for senior leadership discussions related to leadership development and capability building.
  • Insights and Continuous Improvement Monitor external trends in leadership development, executive education, and organizational leadership practices.
  • Gather insights from leadership programs to inform the ongoing evolution of executive development initiatives.

  • This role has an expected salary range of $145,000 - $165,000K for the Chicago, IL market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.
  • The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
