About The Position

ASRC Federal Technology Solutions, LLC seeks Senior Application Development Engineer in Reston, VA. Duties: Gathers requirements and writes code to craft a solution where an off-the-shelf product may not fully address user needs. Designs, develops, and tests software for either internal or external clients. Streamlines information systems and processes. Plans, coordinates, and supervises processes related to software applications. Identifies, assesses, and evaluates moderately complex product/service solutions. Coordinates resolution of product/service issues, upgrades, and problems. Interacts with management internally or at the customer site to assess major business processes and address product/service needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or in related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
  • In lieu of Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience, Employer will accept a Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or in related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
  • 3 years of experience in Agile and/or Waterfall Cycles
  • 3 years of experience in Java software development
  • 3 years of experience in Frontend web developer experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery)
  • 3 years of experience working with USDA loan and grant programs
  • Must also have authority to work permanently in the U.S.
