What you get to do: The Domestic Sales team at United Parks & Resorts (PRKS) is seeking a highly motivated sales professional to drive incremental revenue for our in-market and military sales channels nationally. The Senior Manager, In-Market & Military Sales will oversee the development of our overall strategy to grow sales in-market and on military bases in each of our markets. They will also own the relationship with our national military account portfolio for all parks. They will support our park sales teams by partnering on sales training, marketing initiatives, and client relationships with national and local in-market and military partners. The ideal candidate will have a passion for travel, hospitality and/or themed entertainment. Manage client relationships with our national military sales accounts: including training on our products and parks, co-op marketing opportunities and sales incentive planning to motivate revenue growth. Guide our local sales teams to generate incremental sales through in-market opportunities in each of our markets. Develop innovative strategies to grow the business, guide the implementation of these strategies in each market, track KPIs and react to the results in real time. Drive process improvement initiatives to ease administrative burden on our corporate team and our partners and ensure the best possible guest and client experience. Drive sales demand for parks. Leverage assigned channels to drive awareness and intent to visit, serving as an extension for marketing campaigns. Seek to position our parks for top tier exposure to drive maximum awareness. This includes reasons to visit, such as new attractions and consumer events. Represent the PRKS brands at in-market and military networking opportunities, trade shows, and on-site tours of our parks. Collaborate with marketing to create marketing copy and images for online and in-market marketing initiatives. Work with revenue management team to ensure pricing for offer align with company per cap goals, successfully implement these offerings and remain vigilant for any issues that arise. Proactively predicting potential issues through deep knowledge of the business to keep the channels operating smoothly. Sales campaign development – leadership role for in-market and military offers for all PRKS properties. Create and manage reporting to drive sales volume, per cap, and revenue goals for the military channel. Complete additional administrative duties required to help promote in-market and military sales. What it takes to succeed: Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey important ideas and concepts to senior management, top executives from key accounts, and hospitality industry leadership in group settings. Moderate skill level with Microsoft Suite of products, primarily Excel and PowerPoint. Able to work with a variety of internal and external partners to achieve regional park goals Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude with a “no job is too small” approach to sales operations. Ability to travel as needed (up to 25%). Must have high school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
