Manages, plans, organizes and evaluates the staff and activities of Grants Management. Provides customer-focused guidance to investigators by managing activities associated with pre-award and non-financial post-award management of sponsored research proposals and awards. Job Responsibility Provides leadership to Grants Management team members, supervisors, and managers by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives. Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system. Develops and monitors strategic program operating goals, objectives and budget. Reports operational performance, justification and/or corrective action. Provides customer-focused guidance to investigators by managing activities associated with pre-award and non-financial post-award management of sponsored research proposals and awards, which includes, but is not limited to government, non-government and other sponsors. Authorizes and submit proposals to external sponsors. Acts as a consultant for faculty on matters related to the management of their grants portfolio. Serves as the primary institutional liaison for external sponsors; coordinates with other central offices and collaborating sites on behalf of investigators to support coordinated management of their grants portfolio. Ensures institutional compliance with federal, state, agency and other applicable governing regulations, policies and procedures concerning sponsored research. Performs related duties as required.
