About The Position

The Global Content Sr. Manager is the chief editor and strategic owner of Vertiv’s global content program, accountable for how Vertiv translates its deep technical expertise, system-level innovation, and market intelligence into authoritative, high-impact content. This role leads and manages the Global Content team, responsible for thought leadership, technical content, and content marketing and activation support across the full Vertiv content funnel - ensuring clarity, credibility, and consistency in how Vertiv communicates across power, thermal, monitoring, services, and AI-driven digital infrastructure. Acting as Vertiv’s editorial authority, the Global Content Sr. Manager governs editorial standards, narrative direction, and content quality, transforming complex engineering concepts into clear, compelling narratives for technical, commercial, and executive audiences worldwide. Partnering closely with senior leaders across product, engineering, services, and marketing, this role aligns insights and thought leadership to Vertiv’s growth priorities, delivers globally consistent and differentiated perspectives, and ensures the editorial rigor expected of a Fortune 500 technology leader - turning Vertiv’s expertise into sustained market authority and measurable brand and commercial impact.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in thought leadership, editorial leadership, content strategy, or B2B marketing within complex, engineering-led or technology-driven organizations (e.g., digital infrastructure, cloud, AI, semiconductor, energy, or industrial technology).
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a senior editorial owner or chief editor, with accountability for defining editorial direction, standards, and quality across a global content or thought leadership program.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop editorial or insights teams, including setting operating models, workflows, and performance expectations.
  • Strong capability to shape and validate future-focused perspectives, translating complex engineering and system-level concepts - such as power, thermal, monitoring, services, and AI-driven infrastructure - into clear, authoritative narratives for technical, commercial, and executive audiences.
  • Exceptional editorial judgment, with a track record of ensuring technical credibility, narrative coherence, and global consistency across diverse content types and channels.
  • Experience partnering with senior technical, product, and executive leaders to synthesize strategy, market intelligence, and innovation roadmaps into externally facing thought leadership.
  • Ability to connect market trends, customer insights, and technology evolution to strategic messaging that supports brand authority and commercial priorities.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with experience operating effectively in matrixed, global environments across marketing, product, engineering, services, and communications.
  • Demonstrated strength in planning, prioritization, and governance, managing complex editorial roadmaps and multiple concurrent initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience owning or contributing to flagship thought leadership platforms (e.g., trends reports, executive perspectives, research-led content) within large B2B or Fortune 500 organizations.
  • Deep familiarity with digital infrastructure, AI/ML, high-performance computing, cloud, or energy systems, and the ability to guide credible market narratives in these domains.
  • Experience aligning thought leadership and insights content to global go-to-market motions, campaigns, and sales enablement without compromising editorial integrity.
  • Background in establishing content governance, localization, and global publishing models at scale.
  • Comfort using data, analytics, and performance insights to inform editorial decisions and demonstrate impact.
  • Experience guiding the development of modern content formats including long-form reports, executive narratives, multimedia assets, and modular content systems.

  • Familiarity with enterprise content ecosystems, including CMS platforms, digital asset management, collaboration tools, and workflow management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as chief editor and single point of accountability for Vertiv’s global content program.
  • Define and govern editorial vision, narrative frameworks, and quality standards across all insights, thought leadership, and technical content.
  • Own Vertiv’s future-facing perspectives across power, thermal, services, and AI-driven digital infrastructure - ensuring credibility, relevance, and differentiation.
  • Partner with senior technical and executive leaders to create, shape, validate, and approve market-facing viewpoints.
  • Lead, develop, and manage the Global Content team, spanning thought leadership, technical content creation, and content marketing and activation support.
  • Establish clear roles, workflows, and editorial operating models to deliver high-quality content at scale.
  • Coach and develop team members to operate as trusted editors and translators of complex technical subject matter.
  • Foster a culture of editorial rigor, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Own Vertiv’s end-to-end content strategy, aligned to brand priorities, growth ambitions, and go-to-market needs.
  • Ensure a coherent and connected content funnel - from flagship thought leadership and trends, through technical and educational content, to downstream content marketing support.
  • Translate complex engineering and system-level concepts into clear, compelling narratives tailored to technical, commercial, and executive audiences.
  • Balance future-oriented thought leadership with content that supports near-term understanding and commercial impact.
  • Partner closely with Global Marketing Programs, Creative Studio, External Communications, Social, and Regional Marketing teams to ensure insights and content are effectively and accurately represented.
  • Enable content reuse, adaptation, and optimization across channels, formats, and regions.
  • Support campaign, launch, and sales enablement needs while maintaining editorial integrity and consistency.
  • Act as a connective tissue between thought leadership, marketing execution, and regional activation.
  • Own editorial planning cycles, content calendars, and prioritization frameworks.
  • Establish scalable governance models, playbooks, and standards to ensure global consistency and compliance.
  • Define and track success metrics for thought leadership and insights content, including reach, engagement, influence, and contribution to brand and demand.
  • Continuously refine the insights model based on performance data, audience needs, and market evolution.
