What YOU will do Resolve highly complex technical projects and issues requiring creativity and ingenuity in supporting airline operational requirements, formal certification reports, and design changes. Develop standards, processes and methods and provide guidance to staff to help the team provide solutions, build capabilities, and continuous improvement. Leads projects for productivity improvement. Provide guidance to a team of junior and senior engineers on requirements, regulations and standard work related to the development and approval of repair solutions. Perform mechanical engineering duties in planning and designing tools, engines and relate aircraft structures. Perform research, design and evaluate mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes, applying advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering principles. Formulate structural analysis of components and define, direct, and document structural test efforts to assess the structural integrity of metallic and non- metallic products. Handle escalated and unresolved customer issues. Addresses complaints, issues, and other complex inquiries directly with customers. Provides guidance and recommendations on how to resolve customer situations. Provide technical review of customer damage reports to determine repair options. Will supervise 4 reports, including a Principal Engineer, Structural Engineering, Principal Engineer, Design Engineering, Principal Engineer, General Engineering and a Senior Engineer, General Engineering.
