About The Position

The Senior Manager, Finance at Triquetra Health is responsible for managing the company’s financial operations while supporting the development of a scalable finance function as the business grows. This is a hands-on role suited for a current finance manager ready to take the next step in their career, with experience operating in lean organizations (typically under 75 employees) and leading small teams. This role oversees core financial functions including accounts payable and receivable, payroll coordination, financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning. The Senior Manager, Finance works closely with leadership and department heads to provide clear financial insights, identify trends, and support sound business decisions. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and execution-focused, with the ability to clearly communicate financial challenges and solutions. While exposure to strategic finance is important, this role is primarily focused on strong day-to-day ownership, process improvement, and building a solid financial foundation for continued growth.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations, currently operating at a Manager level
  • Experience supporting (or partially owning) P&L reporting and cash flow management
  • Experience working in small to mid-sized companies (ideally under ~75 employees)
  • Experience leading or mentoring small teams (2–5 members)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate financial insights clearly
  • Hands-on experience with financial systems (Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Proven ability to improve processes and operate effectively in lean environments
  • Strong ownership mindset with a willingness to execute and problem-solve

  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • CPA not required; candidates earlier in their career progression are encouraged

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and month-end close processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial records while maintaining strong financial discipline and supporting the implementation of appropriate internal controls.
  • Support P&L management by analyzing financial performance and identifying key drivers.
  • Conduct variance analysis and contribute to budgeting and planning processes in collaboration with department leaders.
  • Maintain cash flow forecasts and support liquidity management, ensuring visibility into the company’s financial position.
  • Proactively identify risks and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports that are accurate, clear, and actionable.
  • Translate financial data into insights to support leadership decision-making.
  • Support relationships with banks, financial partners, and vendors.
  • Coordinate with external accountants and advisors for tax and compliance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Contribute to building scalable finance operations and supporting future team growth.
